According to a recent global survey by consultancy Deloitte, leadership is the number one issue organisations face today. They said:

‘Leadership remains the No. 1 talent issue facing organizations around the world, with 85% of companies in our survey rating it as “urgent” or “important.” But only 14% of companies say they do an excellent job developing leaders — the largest readiness gap in our survey.’

Fewer than 15% said they did an “excellent job” of developing those leaders.

To attract and retain the right people, leadership at all levels must become a strategic goal.
